Brenda Starr's Travels
Continuation
| "Well, yesterday was certainly a very memorable day"
thought Brenda. "I think today I'll head downtown and do a little
sightseeing". "Besides, I heard somewhere that the Addams family live
in a
large mansion in this town ... I think I'll try to find it". And
Brenda heads out for the day.
|
| "Hmmmm" ... I think I'll just
keep my distance ... looks a little too spooky for me, I
certainly don't want to disturb the Addams Family".
|
| While strolling through the Town Square, Brenda passed
the World War II Memorial and asked a passerby to take her picture posing on
the statue. The annual town parades end in this park and all the town
dignitaries give speeches followed by the Matawan High School Band.
It's a lovely ceremony.
|
| As Brenda prepares her story for the latest
edition of The Flash, she receives a phone call from her boss, Muggs
Walters. He has called to let her know where her next destination and story
will be. So, once again, Brenda must pack up and prepare for her next
assignment. As she makes her new plans, her
thoughts once again are with her beloved Basil ...
|
| Meanwhile, in the deepest regions of the
Amazon jungle, Basil St. John is still searching for the rare Black Orchid.
Only then can he get the serum needed for the medicine that will help to
cure him.
|
| As she waits for the car to pick her up and take her to
the Airport, Brenda reflects on the wonderful time she had in Matawan.
But, there's always a new adventure in store for her.
